Question

How does blood flow in the heart?

Open in App
Solution

Blood flow in the heart:

  1. Blood comes into the right atrium from the body, and moves into the right ventricle.
  2. Then it is pushed into the pulmonary arteries which take it to the lungs.
  3. After picking up oxygen, the blood travels back to the heart through the pulmonary veins into the left atrium, to the left ventricle, and out to the body's tissues through the aorta.
