To prepare Copper from copper oxide we can reduce copper oxide with coke to get Cu
$C{u}_{2}O+C\to 2Cu+CO$
2. Cu$\to$CuO
By oxidation of copper
$4Cu+O_2\to 2C{u}_{2}O(copperIoxide)$
copper II oxide is prepared by heating Cu in air at temp 300-800$\circ C$
2 Cu + O₂ → 2 CuO(copperII oxide)
