Relation between hydro energy and solar energy:
The rays of the sun have a heating effect which heats the water on the surface of the earth and water converts itself into vapours hence heat is taken by water to form vapours.
Water vapour goes into Earth's atmosphere and rises high in the sky.
They are water vapours that convert themselves into clouds after cooling.
When clouds become heavy they possess potential energy and shed their water in the form of rain.
This water again comes to the surface of the earth and it goes into rivers.
Dams are built over rivers to extract electrical energy from the potential energy stored in water which is stored in the dam.
Hence, solar energy is finally converted into electrical energy with the help of the construction of a dam on the river.
In this way, solar energy is related to hydroelectric energy.
