Question

I know that clouds are made up of water vapour. But when it rains due to evaporation, why don't the clouds become water totally? And why the clouds are still there in the sky after rain?

Solution

That's a very good question.

The clouds are transformed into water drops or simply rain, when they are cooled enough.
Ie,
They become water by condensing.
If the condensing temperature is not reached, they remain as cloud itself.

The clouds you see after rain are such clouds. They haven't cooled to their condensing temperature.

Hope this helps.
Good luck.
