The correct option is B x $\geq$ y
Equation I
$x^{2} - 11 x + 24 = 0$
$\Rightarrow x^{2} - 8 x - 3 x + 24 = 0$
$\Rightarrow x (x - 8) - 3 (x - 8) = 0$
$\Rightarrow (x - 3) (x - 8) = 0$
$∴ x = 3, 8$
Equation II
$2 y^{2} - 9 y + 9 = 0$
$\Rightarrow 2 y^{2} - 6 y - 3 y + 9 = 0$
$\Rightarrow 2 y (y - 3) - 3 (y - 3) = 0$
$\Rightarrow (2 y - 3) (y - 3) = 0$
$∴ y = \frac{3}{2} o r 3$
