Identify the components depicted in the given image.
1. Intracellular fluid, 2. Capillaries, 3.Interstitial fluid, 4. Plasma
Intracellular fluid is the fluid present inside the cells.
Capillaries are the vessels that supply nutrients to all the cells and take away their waste. They are very thin walled, made of a single cell layer.
Interstitial space is the gap between tissues and more specifically, cells of the body. Interstitial fluid is the fluid present in this space. It is formed because of the high pressure at which blood is pumped by the heart. This high pressure pushes water out of the capillaries into space in between the cells.
Plasma is the extracellular fluid present in the blood capillaries which along with the suspended RBCs, WBCs, platelets and other substances, constitute the blood.
