If all the squares have a length of 1 cm, determine the area of the triangle.

The correct option is A 9
The area of a triangle =12×h×b

To find the b and h, we have to count the number of squares along the base and height of the triangle respectively.

For the h we can see 3 sides of the squares, fits perfectly along the height so the height of this triangle =3 cm



Similarly for the base, 6 squares have their sides along the base, so the triangle has a base os 6 cm.



Therefore area =12×3×6
=12×18
=182
=9 square cm
