The correct option is B

doubled


We know that area of rectangle is =length×breadth

Let l be the length and b is the breadth

So according to the question l be same and b=2b then area becomes

area=l×2b=2lb

Hence area becomes twice the original area .

Therefore option(B) is the correct answer and all other options are incorrect .
