We have,
$(x y^{2} z^{2} + 3 x^{2} y^{2} z - 4 x^{2} y z^{2}) + (- 9 x^{2} y^{2} z + 3 x y^{2} z^{2} + x^{2} y z^{2})$
$= x y^{2} z^{2} + 3 x^{2} y^{2} z - 4 x^{2} y z^{2} - 9 x^{2} y^{2} z + 3 x y^{2} z^{2} + x^{2} y z^{2}$
$= (x y^{2} z^{2} + 3 x y^{2} z^{2}) + (3 x^{2} y^{2} z - 9 x^{2} y^{2} z) + (- 4 x^{2} y z^{2} + x^{2} y z^{2})$
[grouping like terms]
$= 4 x y^{2} z^{2} - 6 x^{2} y^{2} z - 3 x^{2} y z^{2}$
