Given:
fo=1.2 cm
fe=3 cm
uo=1.25 cm

Using lens formula for objective lens,

1vo1uo=1fo

1vo1(1.25)=11.2

vo=30 cm

Now, magnifying power of the compound microscope when the final image is formed at infinity,

m=vo|uo|(Dfe)

m=301.25(253)=200

Hence, option (B) is the correct answer.
