Let the cost of chocolates be c and the cost of the box be b.

It is given that, the cost of chocolates with the box is ₹40.

Hence, c + b = 40

Cost of chocolates without box is ₹30.

Hence, c - b = 30

Subtracting this, we get

2b = 10

b = 5

Therefore, the cost of the box = ₹5.
