In an isosceles triangle, the base is two third of each of other two equal sides. If the perimeter of the triangle is $24m$, find the length of all the three sides.

Let equal sides be $x$ m each

So, the base $=\frac{2}{3}\times xm=\frac{2x}{3}m$

$Perimeter=24m$

$\Rightarrow x+x+\frac{2x}{3}=24$

$\Rightarrow \frac{8x}{3}=24$

$\Rightarrow x=\frac{24\times 3}{8}$

$\Rightarrow x=9$

$\frac{2x}{3}m=\frac{2\times 9}{3}m=6m$

Hence, the sides are $9m,9m$ and $6m$
