Solution

Sickle cell anaemia is inherited disorder. This disease causes the body of the person to produce abnormal shaped red blood cells. The RBC's produced are sickle shaped. They get entangled during the blood flow and get destroyed resulting in anaemia. The disease is caused due to a genetic mutation which results in the substitution of the glutamic acid by valine at the 6th position of the beta globin chain. This cause the production of abnormal haemoglobin and abnormal RBCs.
