Jia ate a papaya and threw all of its seeds around one place in her garden so that she could get a large number of papaya plants. But only a few seedlings grew. Why do you think this happened?

↵Seeds need optimum conditions to germinate as seed is a dormant stage of plant. It must have happened due to lack of availability of water, heat and oxygen.
When we provide water, heat and oxygen it germinates out being a living entity. Water is absorbed and seed swells up starting their vital activities. Also, not all seeds are healthy. There must be some spoilt seeds that did not germinate to seedling.
