The correct option is A 660m2
Let ABCD be the given trapezium in which BC=48m,CD=17mandAD=40m

Through D, draw DLBC.

Now, BL=AD=40m

and LC=BCBL=(4840)m=8m

Applying Pythagoras theorem in right ΔDLC, we have

DL2=DC2LC2=17282=28964=225

DL=225=15m

Now, Area of the trapezium ABCD

=12×(BC+AD)×DL=12×(48+40)×15m2

=(44×15)m2=660m2.
