Solution

Acid hydration of alkenes give alcohols having hydroxyl group on the most substituted carbon. Catalytic hydrogenation of aldehydes gives corresponding alcohols.
The reaction of acetone with methylmagnesium bromide, followed by hydrolysis gives 2-methylpropan-2-ol.
Acetone on reduction using sodium borohydride will give propan-2-ol.
