Chloroplasts are the most important plastids which are responsible for photosynthesis. They are green in colour due to the presence of the green pigment chlorophyll . Chromoplasts impart various colours to various parts of plant like flowers and fruits. Leucoplasts are non-pigmented or colourless plastids. They are usually found in most of the non-photosynthetic parts of the plant like roots. They acts as a storage sheds.
