Microorganisms are the organisms that are too small to be seen by the naked eyes. These microbes can be found in the widest range of environments and are present everywhere like in air, water and soil. They have the distinction of inhabiting the most extreme environments from volcanoes to the most acidic, saline or alkaline environment. Microbes are also present inside the human body e.g., in the digestive tract.
