.....here are some chemical food preservatives.
1.) Sodium Benzoate (C6H5COONa)
...it generally used in soft drinks or acidic foods .but it uses less because it metabolised in huppuric acid(C6H5CONHCH2COOOH)
...2.)salts of sorbic acid(C6H8O2). and propanoic acid....
3) Sodium Pyrosulphait also used in the sauce, jams, pickles etc..........it's working is because of SO2
