Solution

(i) The point of attachment of the two chromatic of a chromosome is called centromere. It is responsible for the movement of the replicated chromosomes into the two daughter cells during mitosis and meiosis.
(ii) The condition in which the solution outside the cell has a lower solute concentration than the cellular fluids is a hypertonic solution. It is a type of solution that has a greater concentration of solutes on the outside of a cell when compared with the inside of a cell.
