Solution
Insulin
Insulin is a hormone secreted by the beta cells of the islets of Langerhans of the pancreas.
Insulin regulates the amount of glucose in our bloodstream.
Pancreas releases insulin as soon as the blood glucose levels increases than the normal value and facilitates the entry of glucose into the cell to derive energy.
Insulin also stimulates the liver to convert excess glucose into glycogen and when the insulin level is low the liver releases the glycogen into the blood in form of glucose.
