Solution

The correct option is C I - may compete with each other, II - with other species, III - limited food availability
A population is a group of individuals of the same species living in a particular geographical area and capable of potentially interbreeding with each other to produce fertile offspring.

The individuals of a population compete for similar resources. This is called intraspecific competition and they compete mainly for food, mate and space.

If there is limited availability of food it can lead to competition not only among the members of the same species but also with the other species dependent on the same food. This is called interspecific competition.

In case the availability of food is unlimited, then the need for competition never arises. But this is not the case in nature, the food and other resources are always limited and hence organisms compete for survival.
