Various human activities and products pollute the soil. These pollutants destroy the fertility of the soil and harm the organisms living in the soil. Some of the soil pollutants are

• Polythene bags, plastic products- They add non-biodegradable wastes to the soil which further accumulate and cause pollution.

• Chemicals like pesticides disturb the nature of the soil and make it unfit for cultivation and growth.
