Let the present age of Babitha be x

Present age of Naresh = 5 + x

Babitha’s age five years ago = x – 5

Naresh age five years ago = 5 + x – 5 = x

According to question,

x = 2(x – 5)

x = 2x – 10

–2x + x = –10

–x = –10

x = 10

Babitha’s present age = 10 years

Naresh’s present age = 10 + 5 = 15 years
