Each day works from 10 am to 6 pm. This means the worker is working 8 hours in a day.
so working for 5 days 8 hours = 6 days.
Now in 6 days , 1 trench can be dig by 1 worker.
Then, in 1 day, 1 trench can be dig by $1 \times 6$ = 6 workers
So, in 1 day, 3 trench can be dig by $6 \times 3$ = 18 workers
Therefore 18 workers are required to dig 3 trenches in 1 day.
