1) As the British mills were busily engaged in the production of army requirements, Manchester failed to supply goods to India.
2) All of a sudden, Indian mills got an outstanding domestic market to supply goods.
3) As the war continued, Indian industrial units were demanded to provide war needs such as cloth for leather boots, army uniforms and tents, jute bags, mule and horse saddles and other items.
4) On account of huge demand, new factories were started and people in old factories worked overtime.
5) Eventually, the war created large employment opportunities and industrial production expanded.
