Why are clinical thermometers are generally used in laboratory?

The clinical thermometer is not to be used in lab the thermometer is lab and that of clinic is different because the clinic thermometer is range from 35 degree to 42 degree and the lab thermometer has range -10 degree to 110 degree . lab thermometers are used to measure the temperature of source while keeping it in source but the clinic thermometer can be read after removing from the mouth. hence the clinic thermometer are not to be used in lab.
