Let the equal side of the isosceles triangle = x
The unequal side of the isosceles triangle = y
y = x + 1 ... (i)
Perimeter = x + x + y
19 = 2x + y
2x + y = 19 ... (ii)
Put the value of y in equation (i)
2x + x + 1 = 19
3x + 1 = 19
x = 6
Put the value of x in equation (i)
y = 6 + 1
y = 7
So, sides of the triangle are 6 cm, 6 cm, and 7 cm.
