Let the ten’s digit be x and the unit's digit be y.

It is given that,

Sum of the digits is 15.

x+y=15---(1)

Difference of digits is 3

xy=3 ---(2) (OR) yx=3 ---(3)

case 1:

Add (1) and (2),

x+y+xy=15+3

2x=18

x=182

x=9

and x+y=15

9+y=15

y=159=6

Therefore, the number is 96.

case 2:

Add (1) and (3),

x+yx+y=15+3

2y=18

y=182

y=9

and x+y=15

x+9=15

x=159=6

Therefore, the number is 69.

So, from (1) and (2) the number is either 69 or 96, which cannot be determined
