Statement 1 is incorrect: Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Amendment Act, 2016, which came into force from 2016. The Amendment inter-alia covers the complete prohibition on employment or work of children below 14 years of age in all occupations and processes.

Statement 2 is correct: The Bonded Labour System has been abolished by law throughout the country with effect from 25th October, 1975 under the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Ordinance which was replaced by the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976.

Under the revised Central Sector Scheme for Rehabilitation of Bonded Labourer-2016, a Bonded Labour Rehabilitation Fund is to be created at the District level by each State with a permanent corpus of at least Rs.10 lakhs at the disposal of the District Magistrate which should be renewable.
