The correct option is A 8
$I_{x y} = \frac{18}{3 + 6} = 2 A$
$V_{x y} = 2 \times 6 = 12 V$
So, here voltage across xy branch should be 12 V and current through xy branch is 2A
For xy branch

Hence, voltage across $2 Ω$ resistor = $2 \times 2 = 4 V$
$V_{x y} = 12 V$
$\Rightarrow 4 + V = 12$
$\Rightarrow V = 8 V$
