As the speed of light is very high the time taken for light to travel from the clouds to Rohit is approximately 0 s. i.e. there is no time lag in the light reaching Rohit. We can say that lightning happened at t=0s and sound reached his ears at t=22s.

So the distance between him and the clouds is = 22 × 340 =7480m ≈ 7.5km.
