The correct option is C 20
$Number of sweets Shankar had initially = x$

$Sweets left with Shankar after sharing = x - \frac{x}{4} - 5$

According to the question he is left with 10 sweets.

$\Rightarrow x - \frac{x}{4} - 5 = 10 \Rightarrow \frac{3 x}{4} = 10 + 5 \Rightarrow x = 15 \times \frac{4}{3} \Rightarrow x = 20$

So, initialy Shankar had 20 sweets.
