$2 x^{2} - x + \frac{1}{8} = 0$
$\Rightarrow 16 x^{2} - 8 x + 1 = 0$
$\Rightarrow 16 x^{2} - 4 x - 4 x + 1 = 0$
$\Rightarrow 4 x (4 x - 1) - 1 (4 x - 1) = 0$
$\Rightarrow (4 x - 1) (4 x - 1) = 0$
$∴ x = \frac{1}{4}$
