Solution

The given equations are
2x+y25=0 .........(1)
x2+y=4 ...........(2)
Multiple equation (2) by 4
It becomes 2x+4y=16 .........(3)
Subtract (1) from (3)
2x+4y=16
2x+y2=5
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯4yy2=21

7y2=21
y=21×27
y=6
Put y=6 in (1)
2x62=5
2x3=5 2x=8
x=4
So, x=4 and y=6 is the solution of two given equations.
