The correct option is B x = 5; y = 7
3x + 2y = 29 … (1)
5x - y = 18 … (2)

Multiply equation (2) by 2
10x - 2y = 36 … (3)

Add equations (1) and (3)
3x + 2y = 29
10x - 2y = 36

13x = 65
x = 5

Put value of x in equation (1)
3(5) + 2y = 29
15 + 2y = 29
2y = 14
y = 7
