Solution

Answer :

Given : 25 fruits were purchased , So

Let Total apples purchased = x
So,
Total guava purchased = 25 - x

cost of 1 apple = Rs 5cost of x apples = Rs 5xCost of 1 guava = Re 0.50cost of 25-x guavas = Rs0.525-x

according to the question,

5x + ( 25 - x ) 0.50 = 26

5x + 12.50 - 0.50x = 26

4.5x = 13.5

x = 13.54.5

x = 3

So,

Total number of apples purchased = 3 ( Ans )
