Solution

The correct option is B ACEDB
Day 1 to day 14 is the follicular phase of ovary wherein anterior pituitary secretes FSH (A). FSH stimulates growth, development and hormonal secretion of Graafian follicle and ovum maturation (oogenesis) (C). LH is also secreted by anterior pituitary which inhibits secretion of FSH and stimulates maturation of Graafian follicle. LH surge between 12 to 14 days of the cycle (E) stimulates rupture of Graafian follicle and release of ovum i.e., ovulation (D). Ovulation is followed by secretory phase/luteal phase in the uterus (day 15-28) and is marked by rupturing of Graafian follicle with a clot inside called as corpus hemoragicum. Absorption of the clot and other changes transforms it into corpus luteum which secretes oestrogen and progesterone during first four months of pregnancy (B). Progesterone stimulates uterine endometrium thickening to prepare it for implantation.
So, the correct answer is option B.
