Solution

The correct options are
A Dengue
B Malaria
Various microorganisms present in our surroundings can cause diseases and are known as pathogens. They may enter into our body directly through the air we breathe, the water we drink or through the food we eat. However, some of them can also be transmitted by direct contact with an infected person or carried out through animals or insects, known as vectors.
Dengue fever is caused by a virus and malaria is caused by a protozoan called Plasmodium. Both these diseases are spread by mosquitoes acting as vectors. Dengue is spread by the female Aedes mosquito while the female Anopheles mosquito spreads malaria.
Diphtheria and tetanus are caused by bacteria and the mode of transmission is through contaminated water, food, direct contact. These diseases do not spread by vectors.
