• A strong electromagnet is used in the manufacture of electric motor and electric generator.
• Electromagnets are employed in electrical appliances such as electric fan, electric bell. Here the rotating effect caused by the magnetic field of the electromagnet is used.
• To magnetize the steel bars, an electromagnet is used.
• Scanning machines use electromagnets as it generates a strong magnetic field so that the proton in the body are aligned in the same direction as the field direction.
