State the physical properties of acids.

2. They are corrosive in nature.[0.5 Marks]
3. They are strong electrolytes i.e they conduct electricity. [0.5 Marks]
4. Some acids are solids and others can be liquid at room temperature. Example : acetic acid and formic acid are liquid at room temp and citric acid is solid at room temperature. [0.5 Marks]
5. They change the colour of indicators.

   litmus	blue to red
   methyl orange	orange to pink
   phenolphthalein	remain colourless
