Step 1:
Draw a line segment AB of length 3 cm.

Step 2:
Mark 90 $^{\circ}$ at A and draw a line passing through this mark from point A.

Step 3:
Draw an arc of radius 5 cm from point B on the line passing through the point A.

Step 3:
Mark this instersection as C and join the B, C to get the triangle as shown below.
