Solution

The correct option is B Greenfly and grasshopper
A food chain is a chronological series of organisms each depending on other for food. A food web is a complex interlinked network of food chains. The energy flow begins with the producers towards consumers in the food chain.

The Sun is the ultimate source of energy. Photoautotrophs are the organisms which are able to synthesise their own food by photosynthesis. For example, Grass that obtains the energy from the sun and converts it to chemical energy in the form of starch. Hence, it is a producer.

Energy from the producers is obtained by consumers directly or indirectly (primary, secondary and tertiary). Primary consumers are herbivores whereas secondary and tertiary consumers are generally carnivores called primary and secondary carnivores.

Therefore,
  • Producers : Berries and plantain
  • Primary consumers : Greenfly, grasshopper, butterfly, titmouse, mouse and rabbit
  • Secondary consumers : Ladybird, frog, fox, buzzard, and snake
  • Tertiary consumer : Dragonfly
