Solution

Ratio of the mixture =5:2Let 5 Kg of coffee is mixed with 2 kg of chicoryNow, cost price of 5 kg coffee @ Rs.250 per kg=5×250=Rs.1250and cost price of 2 kg of chicory @ Rs.Rs. 75 per kg.=2×75=Rs.150Total cost of 7 kg mixture =Rs.1250+Rs.150=Rs.1400S.P. of 7 kg @ Rs.230 per kg =7×230=Rs.1610Gain =S.P.-C.P.=Rs.1610-Rs.1400=Rs.210=210×1001400=15% Ans.
