Now the area of $△ABC$ is given by,

$△ABC=\frac{1}{2}\times Base\times Height$

here area of $△ABC$ is given & height $AD$ is given. Let subject the base $BC$

Base $=\frac{2\times △ABC}{Height}$

$BC=\frac{2\times △ABC}{AD}=\frac{2\times 48}{8}\frac{c{m}^2}{cm}$

$BC=12cm$

$\to$ Base of triangle is $12cm$
