Solution

The correct option is A

In spermiogenesis, spermatozoa are formed while in spermiation spermatozoa are released from sertoli cells into the cavity of seminiferous tubules

Spermiogenesis vs spermiation:

Spermiogenesis is the process of transformation of spermatids into spermatozoa.

After spermiogenesis, sperm heads become embedded in the Sertoli cells to obtain nourishment from them and finally they are released from the Sertoli cells into the seminiferous tubules. This process is called spermiation.
