Solution

Part (i)

  1. - Fallopian tube: It is the site of fertilization.
  2. - Ovary: It produces the ovum or egg.
  3. - Uterus: Fertilized zygote develops in the uterus.
  4. - Vagina: It is the birth canal.
  5. - Endometrium: The inner thick lining of the uterus.

Part (ii)

  1. Fertilization takes place in the fallopian tube of the female reproductive system.
  2. The ovum moves from the ovary to the fallopian tube while the sperm travels up to the fallopian tube after entering through the vagina.
  3. The sperm then fertilizes the ovum in the fallopian tube.

Part (iii)

  1. Ovum is implanted in the endometrium of the uterus.
  2. The endometrium is the inner thick lining of the uterus.
  3. After fertilization, the zygote gets implanted in the endometrium within 7 days in the blastocyst stage.
