Step 1: Find the area of the rectangular hall
$A r e a o f t h e r e c \tan g l e = l e n g t h \times b r e a d t h$
length $= 12 m$ ; breadth $= 7.5 m$
Area of the rectangle $= 12 \times 7.5 = 90 s q . m$
convert sq. meter into sq.cm $(1 s q . m = 10000 s q . c m)$
$90 s q . m = 900000 s q . c m$
Step 2: Find the area of one square tile
$A r e a o f t h e s q u a r e = s i d e \times s i d e$
Side $= 15 c m$
Area of the square $= 15 \times 15 = 225 s q . c m$
Step 3: Find how many tiles required
required tiles $=$ $A r e a o f t h e r e c \tan g l e / A r e a o f t h e s q u a r e$
$= 900000 / 225 = 4000 t i l e s$
Step 4 : Find the cost of the tiles
The cost of one tile is $= ₹ 250$
cost of $4000$ tiles $= 4000 \times 250 = ₹ 1000000$
Hence we need $₹ 1000000$ to pave the rectangular floor
