Solution

Area of each tile = side x side = 10 x 10 = 100 <!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}--> cm2

Area of rectangular rooms = L x B
= 3 m x 1.5 m
= 300 cm x 150 cm
= 45000 cm2

Area of squared room = side x side
= 2 m x 2 m
= 200 cm x 200 cm
= 40000 cm2

Total area of the house = Area of rectangular rooms + Area of squared rooms
Total area of the house = 45000 + 40000 cm2

Therefore,
Number of tiles needed for flooring
= Total area of the house / Area of each tile
= 95000/100
= 950 tiles.
