The correct option is C Binary fission
Sexual reproduction is the process, where new organism is produced due to the fusion of the male reproductive cell with the female reproductive cell. Fusion of sperm and ovum result in the formation of a fertilised egg or zygote. It is necessary for the sperm to reach inside the body of the female for fertilisation to occur in case of internal fertilisation. The process of fertilisation (fusion of gametes) that occurs outside an organism's body is called external fertilisation. In in vitro fertilisation, fertilisation occurs in the laboratory conditions (outside the body) and the zygote is allowed to develop for about a week and then it is implanted in the mother’s uterus. However, in case of binary fission, an animal reproduces by dividing into two equal parts giving rise to two individuals. Fusion of gametes is not involved in this process.
